My Museum Drawing Class had the privilege to draw Bernini's Medusa at the Legion of Honor. I feel transformation of the beautiful woman into a monster is symbolic of our times, there are broken pieces. Yet 400 years later the head remains a thing of beauty, so hope does spring eternal.
This composition is past on gesso ground mixed with pigment.
